Case Study: Lesley University
About
Lesley University offers undergraduate and advanced degrees that prepare women and men to become leaders in education, human services, the arts, environmental studies and a variety of other professional fields. A national leader in quality teacher preparation, the University prepares more teachers than any other private institution in Massachusetts and is one of the largest providers of graduate education for classroom educators in the U.S.
Challenge
Lesley did not have a system in place to help their nationally distributed recruiting teams to organize and schedule conferences for prospective students. Recruiters could not effectively market conferences to prospective students. As a result, the approximately 200 recruiters at Lesley were struggling to attract their targeted number of new students.
Solution
Neptune Web, Inc. developed an automated system that facilitates the recruiters’ ability to alert and attract prospective students to Lesley’s recruiting conferences. The new site:
- Collects data and synchronizes it into both web and print media fields
- Serves as a business and strategic marketing tool by generating custom PDF files for each recruiter’s geographic area and transferring the file to the appropriate print media provider
- Allows Lesley staff to print and then distribute this direct marketing material to the list of prospective students in their respective area.
- Automatically exports collected and approved data to its public pages on www.lesley.edu
- Features an account-driven system where users fill in critical information for detailed reporting and analytics
Success
Lesley’s new site is key to their streamlined, interactive recruiting process that allows recruiters to maximize their efficiency in attracting new students. Since the completion of the project, Lesley has been meeting and exceeding their recruiting objectives while dramatically reducing their operational costs.
